The Sikhya Kendra was established by Kulwinder Singh in the year 2004 and the Ideology behind this was to pass on the knowledge of Punjab Gharana’s Tabla to young talented learners .  The Institute is located in a rural area of Punjab in the village Fatehpur, District Hoshiarpur.

                     Its Inception, Kulwinder Singh decided to dedicate his life for benefit of his students. The students are imparted knowledge on one to one basis from Guru Kulwinder Singh in Traditional Guru Shishya Parampara. The institute is under the support and guidance from USTAD ALLA RAKHA INSTITUTE OF MUSIC, Mumbai, Maharashtra. After acquiring a certain level of skillfulness, our students are sent to the U.A.I.M to learn further. The institute feels proud of introducing many Tabla Players to the world of music.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

It is the result of a collective effort that today, Tabla Vadan Sikhya Kendra, Fatehpur, is fully progressive in the fields of Gurmat Sangeet And Shastri Sangeet. Along with musical education, our motive is to awaken the youth from discrimination based on caste, religion, color and haves or have nots and inspire them to develop a personality of pure conduct and considerate nature so that these young artists deliver the message of Indian Culture to the whole world.

FUTURE PLANS

In the near future we aim to fulfill our plans –
1.1 To make arrangements for sports and cultural activities
1.2 To provide financial help in marriage of poor girls
1.3 To run classical music classes in school, colleges and academies
1.4 To provide financial help for education to poor, handicapped and unfortunate children
1.5 To do any other lawful act which may be beneficial to the society of large in social and religious sphere
